Designed for those who work in the emergency services sector and are keen to develop and consolidate their business management skills through lectures, discussion and analysis of key management concepts across the broad spectrum of business in emergency services.
These programmes are designed to equip learners with sufficient knowledge, skills and techniques to be able to make an immediate contribution to the emergency services sector.
Critical Incident Stress Management
This programme provides learners with an awareness of the impact of critical incident stress on work performance and a knowledge of the possible psychological impact that exposure to a traumatic event may have plus mitigating measures in the workplace post incident.
Bachelor of Business in Supply Chain Management
The programme is designed to develop graduates who are equipped with in-depth knowledge, skills and competencies in supply management, management and business to enable them to make a contribution to the business community, in the region, nationally and internationally.
Certificate in Incident Command System
This programme is designed to assist and enhance the students understanding and awareness of their responsibilities for the safety of personnel when operating in an emergency operational environment and their organisations safety management systems which supports their capacity to fulfil this obligation
Certificate in Business in Technical Aircraft Management
The programme is aimed at cross-skilling licenced aviation engineers by developing their aviation leasing expertise which will support the organisational need for a flexible and dynamic maintenance department. Ireland is a recognised leading hub in the aircraft leasing sector and this programme has been developed in conjunction with the aircraft leasing companies who have specifically identified these skills as those required to work in this sector.
Certificate in Work Measurement and Methods Engineering
Work measurement and methods engineering are long-established subjects that are highly valued, particularly, but not exclusively, in manufacturing industry. They deal with the skills of systematic recording and critical examination of existing and proposed way of performing work, as well as establishing standard times for completing prescribed tasks at a defined level of performance.
There is a demand to incorporate these techniques into the skill set of other engineers and supervisors.
