Ryan Hanley, the civil, structural and environmental engineering consultancy based in Galway City has been awarded the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accredited Employer standard by Engineers Ireland.

The certificate has been awarded in recognition of the company’s continuing professional development strategy which demonstrates that employee professional development is a vital tool in achieving commercial and technical objectives. The CPD strategy adopted by Ryan Hanley showcases the importance of reflective learning and ways in which learning and development enables its 50 engineers and seven technicians to deliver its organisational objectives.

“I wish to congratulate Ryan Hanley on achieving this certification. The organisation successfully scored highly in all criteria including planning, mentoring, knowledge sharing and supporting creativity and innovation throughout all levels of the organisation,” said Engineers Ireland director general Caroline Spillane.

The Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer Standard is a strategic framework which enables engineers and engineering employers to raise competence levels and deliver tangible business benefits by investing in engineers through continuing professional development.

Ryan Hanley was founded in 1931 and is a civil, structural and environmental engineering consultancy based in Galway city, with offices in Dublin and Castlebar. Its main areas of experience are in water and wastewater treatment, as well as network design, integrated network management, structural design, site development, road and bridge engineering and project and construction management.
