The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world’s largest technical professional organization, is bringing the 5th IEEE World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT 2019) to the Department of Electronic & Computer Engineering, University of Limerick, Ireland on 15-18 April 2019. The theme for the forum is “IoT and the Digital Revolution” – and the focus is on the disruptive impact of IoT and IoT Technologies on the realm of goods and products, services and widely used processes that cut across industry, government, and the lives of individual consumers. For four action packed days, WF-IoT 2019 delivers a diverse lineup of thought leaders, practitioners, and participants from around the world to bring different perspective, experience, expertise, to each of the conference sessions in a highly interactive format.

The conference will feature plenary sessions with presentations from Irish and international expert speakers representing industry, government, technology providers, and the research community, sharing their thoughts, experiences, and the vision of the future for IoT.

The conference will present a technical program about the latest in innovative and original research, and advances in technology across the IoT landscape, including results from trial and demonstration projects. Presented in one hundred and seventy-five (175) in depth technical papers, and in additional workshops, industrial forums, special sessions, focused on key aspects of IoT, and a doctoral symposium for advanced graduate students, participants will learn practical implementations of IoT, lessons learned from successful deployments and operations, and challenges to be overcome from over one hundred thirty (130) speakers organized around verticals key to Ireland and topical areas that cover important aspects of technology, operations, and policy.

One day of the conference will be dedicated to tutorials about IoT in eleven (11) sessions delivered by renowned local and international experts. These cover a broad range of topics addressing the technological building blocks of IoT and specific application areas.

In addition, a one-day track dedicated to the start-ups and entrepreneurs and the opportunities for Innovations in IoT that promise to alter business, and public institutions. A portion of the track will involve a start-up competition. Exhibits at WF-IoT will showcase wide range of IoT products and projects.
