Deadline reminder: Members urged to declare 2018 CPD activities before January 31
29 January 2019
Engineers Ireland's CPD Policy requires all members – excluding retired members and student members - to undertake 35 hours of CPD per annum and to record those CPD activities online using the online tool 'My CPD'
In order to maintain and develop professional knowledge, skills and expertise, Engineers Ireland CPD Policy requires members to undertake 35 hours of CPD and to record those CPD activities online using ‘My CPD’, an online tool designed to allow members to record and track their CPD activities.
If you have not yet done so, we would request that you now log and declare your CPD hours for 2018 before the January 31, 2019, deadline.
Please note that this requirement to declare CPD hours applies to all members – excluding retired members and student members.
A number of exemptions and pro-rata requirements apply to those on maternity, paternal or sabbatical leave; or members experiencing unemployment.
Simple, two-step process
There is also a simple, two-step process which facilitates dispensation for members working for CPD accredited employers.
Engineers Ireland has created a ‘What counts as CPD?’ poster as a quick reminder of the different activities you can count as CPD.
We have also created a short My CPD video which will also show members how to use ‘My CPD’ and will highlight how members working with CPD Accredited Employers will be able to quickly log and declare their CPD hours for 2019.
