By 2025, it is expected that the world will have a trillion IoT devices globally [Source: McKinsey 2015], all requiring a power source.

As president, Hayes said he planned to bring strategic focus to IoT opportunities for the power electronics community, and foster convergence between power electronics, ICT and energy efficiency communities to collaboratively develop the next generation of devices and systems.

EnerHarv is one such PSMA initiative which aims to create an ecosystem and community of experts in energy harvesting and micro-power management.

This inaugural three-day international workshop, chaired by Hayes and Brian Zahnstecher from PowerRox, will be hosted by Tyndall National Institute from May 29-31. Further details can be found at www.EnerHarv.com
