Entries are now being sought for the Irish Maintenance and Asset Management Society (MEETA) Awards – designed to celebrate excellence in the fields of maintenance engineering and asset management.
The awards are an initiative of the Engineers Ireland’s MEETA society, a special interest group for maintenance, reliability and asset management practitioners.
MEETA promotes all aspects of maintenance and asset management in industry, the public sector, semi-state bodies and third level institutions, and represents the interests of its members on national and international issues such as education, infrastructure and development of the practice in Ireland.
This year, the MEETA Industry consist of five award categories:
• Student Award: open to third-level students
• Technology Award: technically based maintenance projects
• Management Award: management of maintenance and assets
• Health and Safety Award: integrated management approach to safe maintenance
• Environment Award: projects that demonstrate energy efficiency or have an environmental impact
Commenting on the MEETA Awards, Caroline Spillane, Director General of Engineers Ireland said:
“Now in its 33rd year, the MEETA Awards recognise the most innovative and progressive use of new methodologies and technology in the area of maintenance and asset management. Recent entries have demonstrated the calibre of talent in the sector, with Irish divisions of global companies showcasing opportunities for companies to set new standards in areas like minimising environmental impact and health and safety. I would encourage organisations who operate within this sector to highlight their achievements and submit an entry to this year’s awards.”
The deadline for entry to the 2017 awards is Friday 6 September 2017.
