New CPD technical courses offered by Engineers Ireland

These courses have been designed to ensure engineering professionals are up-to-date with the latest technologies, processes and regulatory requirements enabling them to add greater value to their employers and clients.

The primary objective is to give each delegate a practical understanding of valves, actuators and accessories through a comprehensive look at the design and application of valves as an integral part of the piping system. Control valves as the final control element in a process control system will be covered as well as essential maintenance and installation guidance.
Thursday, 2nd & Friday, 3rd March 2017
This course enables engineers to discover the next level of tools, processes and tactics for problem solving within their field. The course is intended as a follow-on from basic Problem Solving for engineers, technicians and others with process improvement responsibility.

This CPD course will review the principles of control valves, actuators, positioners, etc. Valve sizing will be done to ANSI/ISA 75 and IEC 60534 standards for both compressible & incompressible applications.
Tuesday, 21st March 2017
This course will provide an insight to pump application, selection, operation and maintenance. It is an introductory course that will focus on hydraulic system behaviour, pumps and components within the pumping system and how these are interconnected.
Wednesday, 12th April 2017
This one day course is tailored for engineers working in the Medtech industry or an organisation which provides engineering or technical services to organisatons in the Medtech sector. Topics covered include; Manufacturing Processes, Regulatory Requirements and Device Classification.
Thursday, 13th April 2017
Ireland’s pharmaceutical sector continues to grow as an established centre for primary and secondary manufacturing. This one day CPD course is designed for engineering and automation specialists who are seeking to transfer into the Pharma sector in a formulation or packaging technology role.
