Geo SpecThe Geotechnical Society of Ireland (GSI) and Engineers Ireland are proud to announce the publication of the Specification and Related Documents for Ground Investigation in Ireland, 2nd Edition 2016. The specification, which was launched in April 2016, contains a number of revisions to the 1st edition published in 2006, particularly in the areas of Geobor-S sampling, Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) and geoenvironmental testing.

It is envisaged that the specification will be used by engineers and client representatives in the scoping, planning and implementation of ground investigations for building and infrastructure projects in Ireland.

The specification is available for purchase from Engineers Ireland’s online shop at a price of €50 and includes the option to receive an electronic version of the Bill of Quantities in Microsoft Excel format.
