Slack is to create 80 new positions in Dublin over the next two years as it moves its European headquarters to the capital to meet growing demand from European businesses and existing customers.

The privately held software company, headquartered in San Francisco, opened its first office outside of North America in The Digital Hub, Dublin 8, in May 2015.

Having outgrown the space, the company is moving its European headquarters to One Park Place, Dublin to accommodate new positions which will bring the total number of people working for Slack in Ireland to 180 by the end of 2017.

The move to the new European HQ, which occupies 29,000 square feet in the heart of Dublin, comes hot on the heels of strong growth and the company opening its Asia Pacific headquarters in Melbourne, Australia, at the end of March.

Slack is a messaging app for teams, which helps make working lives simpler, more pleasant, and more productive by bringing team communication, file sharing and other tools together in one central platform. It integrates with dozens of popular services such as Twitter, Dropbox, Trello, Asana, Google Docs, JIRA, MailChimp, Stripe, Zendesk, and others to help consolidate and make sense of the ever-growing flows of data that confront modern teams.

As of April 2016, Slack has 2.7 million daily active users and 430 employees worldwide. Customers using Slack include Ticketmaster, Lush and Spotify.

“Customer growth and adoption across all markets in Europe are driving the growth of our team and operations in Dublin,” explained James Sherrett, Slack’s Dublin-based senior manager of accounts. “We are the fastest growing business application in history. Our user base grew tenfold last year and we’re seeing strong demand across all industries and from businesses of all sizes, for more efficient and effective team communications.”

Slack is currently recruiting for a number of positions in its Dublin office. For more information about employment opportunities, or to submit your application, please visit: https://slack.com/jobs.
