Irish company Nitronica, a leading contract electronic manufacturer based in Co Down, has secured a “valuable order supplying bus bar interconnections to the Republic of Ireland”.
The firm, which supplies electro and mechanical solutions to aerospace, defence, telecoms, and industrial sectors, sought advice and expertise from Invest Northern Ireland’s technical advisory unit. The solutions provided range from cable and PCB assemblies through to the design, refinement and supply of high quality, integrated products.
Speaking about the help provided, John Mellon, managing director of Nitronica, said: “Earlier this year we sought advice from Invest NI’s technical experts on the best approach to expand our services to include bus bar interconnection for a range of applications. The focus on this development stemmed from customer demand.
“To be in a position to gain additional contracts, we needed join forces with Northern Ireland businesses already involved in bus bar system design and integration.
“Invest NI put us in contact with Kane Engineering from Newtownards who have more than 40 years’ experience in low voltage switchgear and bus bar design and manufacturing. Together we submitted a joint tender and secured a valuable order supplying bus bar interconnections to the Republic of Ireland.”
Dr Vicky Kell, Invest NI’s director of innovation and technical solutions, said: “Nitronica has maintained a close relationship with Invest NI and benefited from the guidance of our technical advisers in deciding on its next move in order to take the business in a new direction.
“I would encourage local businesses to take advantage of the practical help available and highlight the specialist support for engineering, manufacturing, product, process, environmental, and health and safety issues available through our technical advisory unit.”http://www.engineersjournal.ie/2015/08/12/irish-company-nitronica-secures-valuable-order-supplying-bus-bar-interconnections/http://www.engineersjournal.ie/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/bus-bar1.pnghttp://www.engineersjournal.ie/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/bus-bar1-300x300.pngNewselectronics,Invest NI
