February and March 2015 will see Engineers Ireland run two of its most popular training courses, Designing for Safety in Construction and Project Supervisor Design Process.

The Designing for Safety in Construction course will take place on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th February in Engineers Ireland. The course aims to provide practical guidance to designers on how to comply with their duties under the Safety Health and Welfare at Work legislation.

The course will be held over two days and will take the form of structured lectures covering five modules, based on the designing for safety in construction manual and the briefing notes. Lectures will be interspersed with short workshops, involving active involvement by course participants, reinforcing the critical steps for designers in meeting their obligations and generating the key deliverables for designers over a variety of practical construction cases. The course will conclude with an open book examination.

The Project Supervisor Design Process course will take place on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th March in Engineers Ireland. The course is directed towards engineers who will fulfil the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.

This programme is designed to provide those engineers who will be appointed as PSDP to carry out their statutory duties with the necessary understanding and skills to perform these duties correctly. Course will cover all the statutory duties and all the essential competences required of the project supervisor for the design process.

Both courses are available to book now at a cost of €645.00 for members and €745.00 for non-members. There is a further 10% discount available to anybody who books their place online.
