David Balmforth, the president of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) for 2014-15, is set to visit Engineers Ireland HQ in February to deliver his Annual Presidential Address.

Balmforth will ask the question ‘is civil engineering fit for the future?’ He suggests that in order to answer this, we need to look afresh at the issues of resilience, adaptability and availability.

The ICE president is set to deliver his address in the lecture theatre of 22 Clyde Road on Friday, 27 February at a breakfast meeting starting at 8:30am. A light continental breakfast will be available from 8am and the event is free to attend.
