Marking the translation into Chinese of Transformers and Inductors for Power Electronics: Theory Design and Applications by NUI Galway academic, Prof Ger Hurley at NUI Galway recently were (see above image, l-r): Prof Ger Hurley, director of the Power Electronics Research Centre at NUI Galway and professor of electrical engineering at the university; Xiaochuang Wu, first secretary for education, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Ireland; Dr Jim Browne, NUI Galway president; and Ted Yang, first secretary, Science and Technology Office, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Ireland.

Transformers and Inductors for Power Electronics: Theory Design and Applications was first published in 2013, with the Chinese translation published this year with translations by Prof Chunbo Zhu, School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, and Prof Mark Dehong Xu, Department of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou.
