Subscribers to the Project Management Society and CPD-accredited employer organisations are invited to complete a brief survey, in order to help identify the project management skillsets required by individual industries

The Project Management Society is a special interest group for engineers who are involved in project management. It promotes a greater understanding of project management as a key element of engineering projects and aims to assist members in mastering the skills needed to become excellent project managers.

One of the aims of the society’s new working group is to develop a road map for engineers who aspire to be project managers. To this end, the society is carrying out a survey, seeking feedback from employers and engineering professionals across all industry sectors. The aim of the survey is to identify the project-management skillsets currently being demanded by each industry in the engineering sector.

The survey, which is completely anonymous, will remain open until Friday 28 February and all Engineers Ireland members and CPD-accredited employers are being encouraged to contribute towards this body of research. The results will be published in the Engineers Journal over the coming months.
